It pays to be honest so this blog post is all about one
thing. My desire to own £40,000 (the
maximum amount allowed) of premium bonds.
Unfortunately my financial circumstances don’t allow me to make such an
investment (or is it a gamble?), so I thought I would devote one blog post to
begging for reader donations to help me achieve my ambition!
In my previous post I talked about how I had discovered the
ability to enable readers to contribute variable amounts of their choosing by
using the Paypal Buy Now option. Well I
have attached the option for readers of this post to contribute to my premium
bond fund, to enable me to achieve my aspiration. In the interest of transparency (always the
best policy), you will not benefit in any form from the contribution you
make. I will endeavour to publish
details of any winnings I receive from the bonds.
I do actually have a £100 of premium bonds already (so
that’s a good start), which I have had for about thirty years. These were usually donated as birthday or Christmas
gifts, and, I can honestly say that I have never won a single penny. It would be interesting to see if an investment
of £40,000 will provide a greater return.
Obviously this will depend to a large amount on luck. If I am not lucky as it appears then it sounds
like it could be a bad deal, but it will be interesting to see in real life.
So just to recap, yes this is a direct begging post! I have put in a bit of effort creating a new
graphic for the contributions. This has
used the National Savings and Investments front page from their booklet. They must be optimistic as it includes two
glasses of fizz, as if to indicate that you cannot lose!
Time will tell.
