MPs Expenses 2014/15 to date - Top Twenty Constituency Office Expenses

Seeing as I already had the data downloaded from the IPSA website for MP’s expenses for the current financial year (2014-15) to date, I thought I would continue along my theme for the top twenty lists in various expense catagories.  You’ll be relieved to hear that I am doing this for myself because my blog post got zero views.  This top 20 list covers the amount claimed in respect of constituency office rent.   It should be noted though that if you want to do in depth analysis and comparison you will have to dig out the data yourself.  This is because the amounts may not be strictly comparable due to the fact they rely on MPs submitting the claims on the dot.  This data extract covers a period of nine months; however, it may be the case that some MP’s may have only submitted claims relating to 6 months, whereas others may have done so for eight months.  So the old adage applies of let the user of the data beware!  As always I apply the old adage of not relying on the data, and, to do your own research.
