I thought I would jump on the MPs second job bandwagon that
is being played out at the moment by analysing some of the income MPs are
earning from external work. This
information is freely available on the parliament website, although it has to
be stated that the form in which it is presented being a list in a pdf document
does not allow it to be analysed easily.
Indeed I believe the Daily Telegraph asked three reporters to undertake
this work, and, then cross referenced the results to ensure quality. Unfortunately I do not have that luxury, as
there is only me, hence I will issue my usual caveat to double and triple check
the facts yourself. My analysis is meant
to be just used as a rough guide, and, will only cover a few MPs at a time as
the work is very time consuming. All the
information is taken from the latest publication dated 23rd
February, 2015, and, seems to cover a period of a year.
